Completed Projects:

April 2008
'Within Sight of Shore' was premiered on April 26, 2008 With the assistance of the NS Dept of Heritage and Culture I explored musically the sinking of HMCS Esquimalt of which my father was Commanding Officer. It was the last ship sunk in WWII near Sambro lighthouse not far from Halifax NS on April 16, 1945 by German U-Boat 190. Many died while waiting 6 hours for rescue in the frigid Atlantic waters. My father survived. My son Ian, BFA grad in Film and Photography at Concordia University has been documenting the interviews with the remaining survivors and creating his own story on film of this historic incident of which my father was such a central figure.

My father survived.
