Ian Macmillan’s Documentary ‘Within Sight of Shore’ to Air on MPBN Community Films (Maine Public Broadcasting Network)

On April 16, 1945, the HMCS Esquimalt became the last Canadian warship sunk in WWII; within sight of shore. Music, film and three generations of a family tell the unique story of a ship, her captain and the legacy left behind.

The nominations are in and I have been given 3 Molson Canadian Nova Scotia Music Week 2011 Award nods! I particularly pleased with the nominations for for ‘Musician of the Year’. And also excited that along with Brian Doyle, our 2011 ECMA nominated recording ‘Live Off the Floor’ received 2 nominations as well, ‘Blues Recording of the Year’ and ‘Traditional/Roots Recording of the Year’.
